Nightmare On Elm St. 3 Dream Warriors is the third installment in the reputable slasher series given to us by no other than the creative mind of Wes Craven. We learn early on the story revolves around the Elm Street children, whose parents were behind the killing of Freddy Krueger by burning him alive. Now he begins tracking down the children of the parents who caused this by haunting their dreams. All the kids are taken to Western Hills Psychiatric Hospital due to the awful dreams taking over their lives. We end up meeting Dr. Neil Gordon (Craig Wasson) and become reunited with our favorite, Nancy Thompson, (Heather Langenkamp) from the first movie who is now a dream specialist. Dr. Gordon and

Nany have meetings with the kids to find out exactly what they're experiencing. Unfortunately, Dr. Elizabeth Simms (Priscilla Pointer) has an old-school view and refuses to believe her patients are having nightmares of a man with blades for hands. Nancy insists she is wrong and together she and Dr. Gordon conduct mutual dream experiments to find the truth.

At night the children are all terrified to sleep because of fear that Freddy might invade their dreams and cause them to hurt themselves. The group of kids also known as the Dream Warriors consists of Kristen (Patricia Arquette), Taryn (Jennifer Rubin), Joey (Rodney Eastman), Kincaid (Ken Sagoes), Phillip (Bradley Gregg), Will (Ira Heiden), and Jennifer (Penelope Sudrow) (Lowes 2013). As the movie goes on Freddy takes his victims by manipulating them in their dreams. One kid, Phillip, who is known for his sleepwalking ends up having his arms and legs slashed while Freddy

controls him like a puppet by his pulled-out veins. Before the children could get any help he falls off a high ledge and Dr. Elsbeth Simms is still convinced they need sleep to calm themselves down. Overall, the film had some great special effects, especially when Freddy turns into a gigantic snake and tries to swallow Kristen. Watching this scene for the first time at a young age sends pure chills down your spine because of how uneasy it makes you feel.
